FRAUD INVESTIGATION AND DISPUTE SERVICES, ERNST AND YOUNG

- Managed numerous workstreams across large-scale client engagements and oversaw the design and execution of testing procedures in support of a government-mandated foreclosure investigation for one of the largest global banking organizations


- Developed SOX procedures and related policies for a large global manufacturing company to facilitate compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Subsequently presented the synthesized workflows to the company’s United States and Chinese global leadership for approval.


- Planned and executed audit engagements for clientele, primarily in the Telecommunications and Retail industries, with revenues ranging from $6 billion to $111 billion


- Worked on SEC filings such as 10-Ks and 10-Qs as well as non-SEC filings such as bondholder reports and privately disclosed financial statements and associated notes


- Evaluated clients’ internal control systems through development of narratives and walkthroughs for critical processes. Designed and executed detailed testing plans for SOX Section 404 compliance; provided feedback regarding areas of discrepancy and suggested remediation solutions


- Evaluated the adequacy of financial statement disclosures and socialized results with client and engagement team executive management


- Contributed to Bribery and Corruption: Navigating the Global Risks; a book published in 2012 by Ernst & Young

 - Served as Head of Finance & Operations, reported directly to the CEO and Board of Directors. Oversaw all aspects of U.S. Finance & Operations and India Finance, including accounting and reporting, consolidation of Indian subsidiary, budgeting, and financial planning & analysis. Responsible for all internal and external financial communication to the executive team, Board of Directors and investors. Entrusted to manage change in a start-up environment during periods of development, launch, growth, and maturation. Relationship Science is a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform helps organizations of all sizes capture and leverage their relationship networks with the influential decision makers that matter to their success

- Developed and executed strategies to reduce cash burn by >80% over a three-year period. Re-negotiated contracts with largest vendors to add multiple years of runway while maintaining operational integrity.


- Managed the monthly close and consolidation of US / Indian financial statements, manage the consolidated audit, and the notes to the financials


- Produced consolidated and ad-hoc financial statements, analyses, and models used for internal and external purposes


- Reported and presented financial statements, trends, analyses, and KPIs to the Board of Directors; active participant in Board Meetings


- Strengthened and solidified relationships with key stakeholders, including executive management, Board of Directors, investors, bankers, auditors and select vendors


- Provided strategic financial perspective during key business decisions such as auditor selection, lease agreements, sub-leasing, insurance selection and re-negotiation, board reporting content, staffing, budgeting, M&A opportunities, as well as financing rounds

CFO, MOORE HOLDINGS

As a multifaceted CFO reporting directly to the CEO and Board of Directors, I was responsible for all aspects of U.S. and Canadian finance and accounting operations. During my tenure, I executed three significant transactions (two divestitures and one acquisition) totaling in the nine-figure range. I was entrusted with transforming processes and teams across portfolio companies while driving growth. I led six finance and accounting teams across 11 domestic locations and one international location. Moore Holdings owns seven businesses operating under a license from Andersen Window Corporation, selling and installing high-end residential replacement windows exclusively.

Key Achievements:

Revenue and Value Growth: Doubled company revenue and value from 2019 to 2022 while increasing the bottom line margin by approximately 4% across portfolio companies. The window entities are currently valued at approximately $540 million per OBDC.

Financial Oversight: Oversaw, developed, and executed all accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting/forecasting functions for the company.

Benchmarking and Reporting: Designed a portfolio benchmarking process and reporting system.

Accounting Transition: Transitioned from non-GAAP to GAAP-based accounting, including ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, to meet deal covenants regarding audited financials.

Benefits Consolidation: Led 401k and healthcare consolidation to comply with controlled group requirements.

Shared Services: Supported the establishment and enhancement of shared services across companies.

Insurance Management: Managed the renewal of all commercial insurance across portfolio companies and supported the renewal of self-funded healthcare plans.

Employee Retention: Maintained a collaborative and positive employee environment throughout the global pandemic, achieving the lowest turnover rate within CFO teams company-wide.

BOARD MEMBER, TAP CANCER OUT

Tap Cancer Out is a jiu-jitsu-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and funds for cancer-fighting organizations on behalf of the grappling community. We achieve this primarily through hosting fundraising tournaments, as well as through direct donations, merchandise sales, and strategic sponsorships.

We have grown from hosting a single event annually, raising $60,000, to now organizing over 20 events a year, generating over seven figures annually for our beneficiaries. I am actively involved in nearly every aspect of this endeavor and am deeply passionate about the cause. Cancer is a relentless adversary, and our mission is to fight back with everything we have.
